ISTANBUL IS SISLI, SISLI IS NOT ISTANBUL

Building Office tries to understand what modern architecture has taken from our cities in the last century and what it has given to our cities as new through Istanbul.

At a time when the city's boundaries cannot be predicted where they begin and end, While the debates on what can be preserved and what can be demolished continue, we wonder about the unconscious motivations behind the urban transformation.

In the Şişli Book of the Building Office and Reading Office, we developed 12 projects based on what we found in Istanbul and what we want to underline the importance of in the city. In this process, we use Istanbul as a laboratory to show our thoughts on the urbanization knots we share with the world to gather and test our point of view.
